Diet plays an important role in health and wellbeing. What to eat and what’s not? This is the main thought everyone have in their mind. Food is the only main source for nutrition, energy and survival. There are hundreds of food choice, available for everyone but not every food is suitable for everyone. We often keep thinking whether I should eat this or not, whether it is good for my health or not, what I need to include in my food. According to Ayurveda, every individual have different body composition and the bio-humors (Doshas: Vatta, Pitta, Kapha) varies from one individual to other, which is called as Prakriti of an individual. Ayurvedic literatures has described the role of diet as well the importance of dietary change with seasonal variations (RITHUSANDI). Rithusandi is the time period which include last few days of a season and first few days of coming season. This time frame is responsible for the vitiation of Doshas (Vatta, pitta, Kapha), so the dietary and life style management become necessary during this period.
